Nutty Bars began in 2017 at the charming Sedgefield Market, where the first gluten-free treat was introduced. The recipe was born from time spent in Sweden and a deep desire to support a close friend living with Celiac disease.
Crafted with care, the bars were free from gluten, dairy, eggs, and refined sugars, making them a delicious option for anyone seeking real nourishment without compromise. What started as a passion project quickly won over the local community, and Nutty Bars became a market favourite.
As word spread, Nutty Bars grew into a trusted brand enjoyed across South Africa, known not only for their taste but for their commitment to quality and care.
In 2025, a new chapter began. Nicola Thompson, a scientist with a deep love for wellness and community, took the reins. Driven by kindness, inclusivity, and a belief in the power of nutritious food to connect people, Nicola brings a fresh vision to Nutty Bars—one rooted in heart, science, and the simple joy of feeling good.
Today, Nutty Bars continues to grow, staying true to its roots: honest ingredients, great taste, and a whole lot of heart.
